PIMS ANNUAL INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC S MEET 2011-12

PIMS Annual Inter Collegiate Athletics Meet cum university Selection Trials 2011-2012 will be held from 26th to 27th Nov 2011 at PMT Ground .Therefore kindly request you to send the teams of your college to participate in this athletic meet and hope to make athletic meet is a grand success and most memorable

The Colleges participating in this meet will have to send the detailed entries in the prescribed entry form to PIMS Sports Cell on before 23rd Nov 2011

No event will be conducted if there is less than 4 Competitors in men and women’s sections.

Events to be conducted

In Men’s Section

100 mts Race,200 mts Race, 400 mts Race, 800 mts Race,1500 mts Race,Discuss Throw,Shot Put ,Javelin Throw,4 x 100 mts relay, 4 x 400 mts relay

In Women’s Section

100 mts Race,200 mts Race,400 mts Race, 800 mts Race,1500 mts Race, Discuss Throw,Shot Put,Javelin Throw, 4 x 100 mts relay, 4 x 400 mts relay

For the purpose of declaring team championship in Men's and Women’s selection point shall be awarded as mentioned below:-

Individual Events

1St Place -5 Points ,2nd Place -3 Points ,3rd Place -2 Points ,4th Place -1 Points

Relay Events

1st Place -10 Points, 2nd Place -6 Points ,3rd Place -4 Points ,4th Place -2 Points

An athletic can participate in 3 Field and 2 Track or 2 Field and 3 Track events as per the university rules. Eligibility Proforma should be duly signed by the principal and coordinators

The Pravara Centre for Social Medicine offers Serve Humanity International Volunteer Program (SHIP) for the globally minded individuals (Skilled /unskilled) searching for unique life changing experience by helping someone less fortunate. We have been engaging international Students, faculty and other volunteers in health and developmental projects in rural and tribal areas of Maharashtra for years .It is right palace for those who want to contribute their time and talent and understand the real India (blend of rich diversified cultures, traditional values, believes and practice in the midst of lack of resources, basic problems etc) .Whether you serve a tribal child in a mobile clinic, a young anemic women in antenatal clinic of a rural health centre , a sex worker in a HIV counseling session a farmer in rural IT centre your are serving humanity with unforgettable memories and the sense of fulfillment that comes from donating your time to a meaning full service project .The program is spread across rural and urban areas, so participants gets an overview of challenges and strategies in both settings.

Objectives of SHIP

To build international partnership for mobilizing community for Change

To Provide opportunity for Foreign nationals ,NRI’s who wish to volunteer their time, Knowledge , skills and any other physical resources for the betterment of poor ,under privileged and vulnerable sections of the community

For Skilled /Professional Volunteers

i) Provide opportunity to assist in Medical, Nursing, Rehabilitative care at Rural Health Centre’s, Mobile medical units, Out reach camps

ii) Provide opportunity to involve in planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of social health and development projects

iii) Provide opportunity to take undertake short term and long term teaching and research assignments in the field of Public /health ,rural health ,social and community development ,gender equality etc.

For All Volunteers

i) Provide opportunity to assist directly in the on-going multi -sectoral social health and development project and programs of CSM

ii) Provide opportunity to get exposure to remote rural, urban and slam areas of India

iv) Provide opportunity to understand and appreciate the social, living and working condition and culture of rural and tribal people of India

v) Provide opportunity to bring change in the “quality of life “ of the most neglected and underprivileged Section of

the society

Sixth Convocation

Applications on the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates who have successfully undergone prescribed course of studies and passed the final year Degree / Diploma Examinations of the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) Loni. Tal- Rahata, Dist Ahmednagar, for award of respective Degree/Diploma.

A duly completed application form along with prescribed fee of Rs. 5000/- (Rs. Five thousand only) paid by Demand Draft drawn on Central Bank of India (P.M.T. Branch Loni Code – 3278) or State Bank of India (Code- 6322) Loni Branch in favour of Registrar PIMS (DU) payable at Loni 413736, will be accepted up to 20th December 2011 along with fee receipt.

The convocation ceremony will be held in the month of January 2012, the date of convocation & the details of ceremony for conferring Degree / Diploma will be notified separately.
