The Pravara Centre for Social Medicine offers Serve Humanity International Volunteer Program (SHIP) for the globally minded individuals (Skilled /unskilled) searching for unique life changing experience by helping someone less fortunate. We have been engaging international Students, faculty and other volunteers in health and developmental projects in rural and tribal areas of Maharashtra for years .It is right palace for those who want to contribute their time and talent and understand the real India (blend of rich diversified cultures, traditional values, believes and practice in the midst of lack of resources, basic problems etc) .Whether you serve a tribal child in a mobile clinic, a young anemic women in antenatal clinic of a rural health centre , a sex worker in a HIV counseling session a farmer in rural IT centre your are serving humanity with unforgettable memories and the sense of fulfillment that comes from donating your time to a meaning full service project .The program is spread across rural and urban areas, so participants gets an overview of challenges and strategies in both settings.

For Skilled /Professional Volunteers
i) Provide opportunity to assist in Medical, Nursing, Rehabilitative care at Rural Health Centre’s, Mobile medical units, Out reach camps
ii) Provide opportunity to involve in planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of social health and development projects
iii) Provide opportunity to take undertake short term and long term teaching and research assignments in the field of Public /health ,rural health ,social and community development ,gender equality etc.
For All Volunteers
i) Provide opportunity to assist directly in the on-going multi -sectoral social health and development project and programs of CSM
ii) Provide opportunity to get exposure to remote rural, urban and slam areas of India
iv) Provide opportunity to understand and appreciate the social, living and working condition and culture of rural and tribal people of India
v) Provide opportunity to bring change in the “quality of life “ of the most neglected and underprivileged Section of
the society
