Duration :
The duration of course is three months (one month residential in two parts)
  • Three weeks residential training at CSM
  • Two months supervised work practice in the participants own area of work.
  • Final One week feedback / activity evaluation at CSM, Loni
Aims & Content:
To provides the participants relevant need based and experiential learning in the various aspects of Social Health, Rural & Community Development, Primary Health Care, and Appropriate Technology.

Objectives of the Course:
  1. Acquire a clear understanding of Social Health and Development.
  2. Learn practical skills to effectively manage projects of Social Health and Development for urban and rural community.
  3. Develop skills necessary to make Social & Community diagnosis, write a project proposal, generate resources, develop tools to monitor and evaluate projects.

  1. Participants develop action plan on Social Health and Development applicable to their own community.
  2. Learning from the experience of grassroots NGOs & workers.
  3. Ongoing support and feedback during the implementation of action plan.
  4. Opportunity for practical learning in the field by involving in Centres research and extension projects/programs.
Prerequisites & Admission procedure:
  • The Course is designed for Doctors, Nurses, Social workers, Project Managers, Field Workers and other persons involved in health and development work.
  • Working knowledge of English is essential.
  • Interested candidates should send their duly filled-in prescribed application form.
Course Fee & Other Expenses:

The course fee for Indian Students for three months is Rs. 5000 (tuition, library and examination fee) at one installment. The Indian Students have to bear the lodging and boarding expenses on their own. Needy students may be considered for payment of course fee in installments. The Course fee for Foreign students is US $ 20 per day (includes training, lodging and boarding).

The Centre can assist students, if required, to identify private sharing hostels at reasonable rent near PIMSDU Campus
Sponsorship:
Preference will be given to candidates sponsored by GOs/NGOs engaged in health and development.
Certificate:
Certificate will be awarded at the end of the course on completion of three weeks residential training, two months project work, one week feedback, activity evaluation and written examination.

PIMS-AICET-UG 2011 : Cancellation of Admission & Refund of Fees

Cancellation of Admission & Refund of Fees

a) Cancellation

A candidate who has confirmed his / her admission may cancel it by submitting an application to the Competent Authority, PIMS-AICET-UG 2011 alongwith the following....
  1. Application for cancellation (Download Application) duly signed by the candidate & co - signed by Parent / Guardian.
  2. Original admission letter
  3. Original Fees paid receipts
b) Refund of Fees

After cancellation of Admission.To know the rules for refund of fees will be binding on candidate click here
  • The refund clause mentioned above will also be applicable to the candidates admitted in subsequent round(s).
  • All Deposits will be refunded in full.
  • The permissible refund will be made after three months from date of application for cancellation. No Correspondence in this regard will be entertained during this period.

c) Cancellation during the currency of the course

In event of failure to qualify or continue the chosen UG programme, for whatever reasons, the students will be liable to pay the complete course fee to secure NOC and return of original documents from the institute concerned. Application need be submitted to the Principal of the institute to this effect.

If you are unable to present yourself on account of unavoidable circumstances, you may authorize your representative to present on your behalf, along with authorization letter. He/She should carry all your Original documents for verification and requisite payment of fees by Demand Draft, if you are found eligible and offered admission.
Your or your authorized representative’s absence will result in instantaneous cancellation of your claim for admission.

All Students who appeared for PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2011 are called for counseling on 25/07/2011 at 9.00 AM for admission to B.P.Th , B.Sc Nursing Courses.

You will have to remain physically present yourself on the day and time of counseling along with the required ‘Original Certificates’ and ‘Demand Draft’ for payment of full fees as mentioned under clause ‘Tuition Fees’ of the prospectus.

If you are unable to present yourself for counseling on account of unavoidable circumstances, you may authorize your representative to be present on the same day and time, on your behalf, along with authorization letter. He/She should carry all your Original documents for verification and requisite payment of fees by Demand Draft, if you are found eligible and offered admission.
