Postgraduate Admission - PIMS-AICET-PG 2013

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences was given a status of Deemed University from 29th September, 2003 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advise of UGC under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide their notification No. F-9-11/2000-U.3.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for All India Common Entrance Test (PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 *) for selection of candidates for admission to Postgraduate Courses in Medicine (MD/MS/DIPLOMA) & Dentistry (MDS) for the academic year 2013-14 in the constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University).

Intake Capacity MD/Ms/Diploma courses: Rural Medical College  

Intake Capacity MDS Course: Rural Dental College

Duration of course: Three years course.

The respective Colleges are recognized by U.G.C (University Grants Commission) / M.C.I. (Medical Council of India) /D.C.I. (Dental Council of India) for both Undergradaute and post graduate courses.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing the Entrance Test. :

• Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine/Dentistry course should hold MBBS /BDS degree of recognized University by MCI/DCI.
• A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31 March, 2013 can appear for PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 .
• All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.
• A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.
• Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2013.
• Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 .
• Candidates who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31.03.2013 will be eligible for PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 for admission to Medicine postgraduate degree in the same subject only.

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences - Deemed University has signed an Memorandum of Understanding for academic co-operation with Drake University, Des Moines, USA.

Under this Memorandum of Understanding, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences - Deemed University shall develop regular staff/student exchange programme and undetake joint collaborative research & academic activities. The potential areas of co-operation includes Medical & Health Sciences, Alternative Systems of Medicine & Biotechnology.

Intercollegiate Chess

The Intercollegiate Chess (Men & Women)tournament will be conducted on 6th & 7 Th November 2012.

* The teams consists of maximum six players(including two reserve players)
* Each team will play maximum five rounds
* All the teams should bring their own chess clocks

From this Intercollegiate tournament the PIMS University  Chess(Men and Women) team will be selected on merit basis to take part in West Zone Inter University Chess Tournament to be held at Vikram University Ujjain from 16th November to 21st November2012.

The Students those interest to take part in the tournament should report to the sports coordinators of concerned colleges to fill up  their eligibility proforma.No team will be allow to play with out eligibility proforma.

Seventh Convocation

Application in the prescribed form are invited form eligible candidates who have successfully undergone prescribed course of studies and passed final year Degree/Diploma Examination of Pravara Institute of Medical Science (Deemed University)Loni,for award of respective Degree/Diploma.

The application forms are available in the constituent colleges and university office at Loni and form can also be downloaded from University Website www.pravara.com.A duly completed application form along with prescribed fee of Rs.5000/- paid by  Demand Draft drawn on Central Bank of India(P.M.T Branch Loni Code-3278) or State Bank of India(Code -6322)Loni Branch in favour of Registrar PIMS(DU)payable at Loni 413736,will be accepted upto  15th January 2013 along with fee receipt

The Convocation Ceremony will be held on the month of February/March 2013.The date of convocation and the details of ceremony for conferring Degree/Diploma will be notified separately

Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament

The Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament will be conducted on 20th September 2012.The tournament will be played on knock out basis.From this intercollegiate tournament the PIMS University basketball team will be selected on merit basis to take part in West Zone Inter University Basketball Tournament.The Students who are interested to take part in the tournament should report to the coordinators of  concerned colleges to fill up their eligibility proforma.No team will be allowed to play with out eligibility proforma.
