PIMS-AICET-PG 2013-Second Counseling

All Eligible candidates as per council norms, who have qualified the PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 entrance examination are requested to appear for counselling on June 24, 2013 at 9.00 AM for admission to following vacant seats in Medical faculty.

After first round of counseling for general category following seats remain unfilled.
Student will have to remain physically present on the day and time of counselling along with the required Original Certificates’ and ‘Demand Draft’ for payment of full fees as mentioned under clause ‘Tuition Fees’ of the prospectus.

You or yours authorized representative’s absence at the time of counselling will result in instantaneous cancellation of your claim for admission.

This notice does not mean that you will be admitted to the course. The actual admission will depend upon number of seats available when your turn comes in order of merit.

Undergraduate Admission - PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2013

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences was given a status of Deemed University from 29th September, 2003 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advise of UGC under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide their notification No. F-9-11/2000-U.3.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Common Entrance Test (PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2013) to be conducted by the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni for selection of students to B.P.Th {Bachelor of Physiotherapy} and B.Sc Nursing{Bachelor of Nursing}, P.B.B.Sc Nursing course run by the constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences , Loni .For more details click here

New Rural Health Centre

The Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences - Deemed University started its own Rural Health Centre (RHC) - 9th in the series, at Village Lohare-Mirpur on 9th April 2013, as part of WHO Day celebrations. The new RHC is another step towards strengthening the PIMS University-Community Partnership for improving access and sustainable health in the remote rural area. The services of RHC reach about 12000 general populations inhabited in 6 villages (Lohare, Mirpur, Primri Lokai, Mendavan, Kasare, Wadzare) 10-20 Km away from the University.

The RHC provides general medical, maternal, child and adolescent health and laboratory services. These routine medical services are augmented by specialist services on regular periodical visits by PIMS University Medical and Dental Hospital and Physiotherapy faculty.

The RHC was inaugurated by Shri Rajendra E. Vikhe Patil, CEO, PIMS-DU in the presence of Dr. S.D. Dalvi, Vice Chancellor, PIMS-DU and Dr. Nagargoje, ADHO, Public Health Department, Ahmednagar. The inaugural function was well attended by Heads of Institutes and faculty of PIMS-DU and general public of Lohare and its neighbouring villages. The RHC is run by the Centre for Social Medicine (CSM) - a constituent unit of PIMS-DU.

Empanelled for Public Health Research by SHSRC, Pune

PIMS - Deemed University has been empanelled by State Health Systems Resource Centre (SHSRC), Pune, Government of Maharashtra for providing technical support to National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and Public Health Department (PHD) of Maharashtra.  As a technical consultant, PIMS is expected to extend project based consultancy to SHRC in the fields of Public Health, Economics, Human Resource Development. This empanelment is effective from Nov 2012 up to Oct. 2013.  

The Centre for Social Medicine (CSM) -  a constituent of unit of PIMS - Deemed niversity will coordinate with SHSRC, Pune and other constituent institutes/centres of PIMS for smooth conduction of the activity. 
As on December 2012, the following three evaluation research studies are in progress at PIMS - Deemed University sanctioned by SHSRC, Pune  

1. Evaluation of Functioning of District Appropriate Authority and District Advisory 
   Councils constituted under PCPNDT Act in Maharashtra.
2. Evaluation of two service NGOs from Akola and Thane.
3. Evaluation of Community-based Monitoring of Health Services in Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing the Entrance Test. :

• Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine/Dentistry course should hold MBBS /BDS degree of recognized University by MCI/DCI.
• A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31 March, 2013 can appear for PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 .
• All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.
• A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.
• Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2013.
• Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 .
• Candidates who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31.03.2013 will be eligible for PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 for admission to Medicine postgraduate degree in the same subject only.

Intercollegiate Chess

The Intercollegiate Chess (Men & Women)tournament will be conducted on 6th & 7 Th November 2012.

* The teams consists of maximum six players(including two reserve players)

From this Intercollegiate tournament the PIMS University  Chess(Men and Women) team will be selected on merit basis to take part in West Zone Inter University Chess Tournament to be held at Vikram University Ujjain from 16th November to 21st November2012.

Seventh Convocation

Application in the prescribed form are invited form eligible candidates who have successfully undergone prescribed course of studies and passed final year Degree/Diploma Examination of Pravara Institute of Medical Science (Deemed University)Loni,for award of respective Degree/Diploma.
